Why Now?

A District at a Crossroads

Like many parents, I’ve been paying closer attention recently—and what I’ve seen has been frustrating. Our district is facing serious challenges, and too often, families and teachers feel left out of the conversation. Decisions are made behind closed doors. Feedback is dismissed. And instead of open dialogue, we get silence or spin.

We’re at a crossroads. We can continue down a path of poor communication, low morale, and eroding trust—or we can choose to do better. We can choose leadership that listens, values transparency, and works with families and educators instead of around them.

I’m running because I believe in that better path. One where students come first, teachers feel supported, and parents are engaged—not ignored. Where the board reflects the people it serves and leads with honesty, accountability, and a real connection to the community.

I’m not a politician. I’m a parent with young kids in our schools and a vested interest in seeing our district succeed. I believe we owe it to our students and teachers to make the right turn at this crossroads—and start moving forward, together.
